The Alma mater is named after Late Upendra Nath Giri who was its founder and notable for his beneficial activities and uncommon hegemony for the people of this region to uplift it socially and culturally. Established in 1976, this institution has aimed at not only the development of the pupils in the sphere of education but also the wider extension of scopes for their intellectual and moral enrichment.
